Purpose/Essence of the Project
A system for identifying indications of illegal arms trade on the Internet through textual and synthetic content analysis. The system combines scenario creation, entity extraction, and suspicion scoring of content as illegal trade, and presents findings on an interactive dashboard for purposes of research and demonstration in a controlled environment.
Describe the Product/Project
A system that simulates scanning and analyzing suspicious posts, including a content creation playground, a data analysis engine, and a dashboard for presenting findings.
How Was the Idea Born?
The idea was born from an interest in identifying criminal activity online, and the need for developing a safe research solution without access to real sources.
