An interdisciplinary project in Medical and Software Engineering. The product is a prototype for a wearable smart card connected to a cellular based application. The objective of the card is the monitoring and identification of various pathologies of the cardiovascular system, and the broadcast of the diagnosed signal, in a number of different, user defined situations, to a mobile telephone. Thus is an early diagnosis made possible and, consequently, life saving treatment can be administered. The objective of the Android operating system based smart phone application is to obtain E. C. G. signals and pathologies in real time from the wearable smart card, display them on a screen, telephonically contact an emergency medical command center and broadcast the signals to a cloud server which is accessible by a qualified physician. Thus is an early and effective diagnosis made possible and, consequently, life saving treatment can be administered.
