An article on environmentally friendly fuels, co-authored by Prof. Eli Flaxer, and published in the Chemical Engineering Journal

ABSTRACT: Developing fully green hybrid propulsion systems, in which both the oxidizer and the fuel are environmentally benign, while having desirable performance under in-space conditions, is a formidable challenge. This article, co-authored by Prof. Eli Flaxer of Afeka’s School of Electrical Engineering, describes the development of environmentally friendly fuels, with rapid and controlled ignition, which could operate under in-space conditions and serve as rocket and spaceship fuel. The study utilized fuels with new molecular structures, and the ample data collected in the study is of vast significance for designing the next generation of green propulsion system for aerospace applications.
