Dr. Nissim Amar
Dr. Nissim Amar is a Senior Faculty Member and Head of the Power Systems Specialization Track in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Afeka - Academic College of Engineering.
Dr. Amar holds a B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Ariel University.
He has extensive experience in teaching, research, and R&D across academia and industry. His research background includes the development of electronic capacitors, energy simulator models for hybrid storage systems, and AI-driven control for bidirectional power converters to enhance stability in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Dr. Amar is the author of multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and conference publications in the fields of power electronics and energy storage systems.
His main research interests include Power Electronics, Grid-Tied Power Converters, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and AI-driven power conversion.
