Roy Gilaor and Dor Dotan, software engineering students at Afeka, appeared on the "The Next Thing" program on the Economy Channel to present a unique undergraduate capstone project: an artificial intelligence (AI) system that helps prevent crime and terror.

The technology analyzes open-source information on social networks in real time, identifies illegal activity patterns (such as weapons and drug trafficking), and provides field personnel, municipal policing units, and community security coordinators with operational heat maps for early warning.
The development is already generating significant interest, and the two are currently in discussions with the Israel Police and local councils, alongside plans to expand the system to combat agricultural crime

They, along with many others, will showcase their projects at Afeka's annual Capstone Project Exhibition, where creativity, thought, hard work, and the desire for ‘tikkun’ take the form of unique and practical technological solutions.
