Prof. Yossi Rosenwaks serves as the fourth President of Afeka – Tel Aviv Academic College of Engineering. Prof. Rosenwaks is an internationally renowned researcher in the field of nanotechnology, with a particular focus on nanowire transistors and molecular sensors based on nanoscale transistor technology.

Prof. Rosenwaks previously served as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Tel Aviv University (2014–2022), where he helped shape the future of Israeli engineering education through academic leadership, strategic growth, and industry collaboration. Throughout his distinguished academic career, he has supervised over 70 PhD and MSc students, 9 of whom currently hold faculty positions at leading research universities in Israel and abroad. He has delivered more than 80 invited lectures at international conferences and chaired several prominent scientific events. With over 200 peer-reviewed articles published in top-tier journals and more than 10 international patents – including technologies that have been commercialized, such as by the company Vocai – Prof. Rosenwaks combines scientific excellence with technological entrepreneurship.
