Excellence, Dedication, and Perseverance in the Face of Challenge: Afeka College Awards 140 Scholarships to Outstanding Students

In a moving ceremony at Tel Aviv’s Eretz Israel Museum, Afeka – The Academic College of Engineering celebrated 140 undergraduate and graduate students whose academic excellence shone despite a year defined by the Iron Swords War.

Highlights of the evening included the prestigious President’s Award, presented to fifth-year electrical-engineering student Amit Ginath for achieving Afeka’s top GPA (97.84), and more than a hundred merit scholarships recognising top performers in every engineering discipline. Additional memorial scholarships honored students who passed away during their studies, underscoring the community spirit that binds Afeka together in difficult times.

Beyond grades, the college recognized innovators from its SmartUp Honors Program—which nurtures creativity, entrepreneurship and social impact—and teams behind Capstone Projects that translate theory into market-ready solutions. These initiatives, spanning four semesters, equip Afeka graduates with the practical skill set and leadership mindset demanded by today’s volatile global marketplace.
