In a special intimate evening in Old Jaffa, Afeka launched its Alumni Senior Leaders Forum, a new strategic initiative reflects Afeka’s vision: an agile academic institution in touch with the industry, working with its alumni to shape the future of Israeli engineering. The forum is designed to deepen Afeka’s ties with the industry through alumni who hold positions of influence in the Israeli and global markets.

The forum adds another dimension to the activity of Afeka’s alumni community, and is meant to serve as a platform for open dialog, collaborations, and interaction between academia and industry. Through a direct connection between Afeka’s administration and alumni who lead companies, teams, and technological initiatives, Afeka hopes to ensure a relevant, contemporary curriculum that reflects the industry’s needs, and to empower joint initiatives for the benefit of Afeka’s students – such as final projects, collaborations, and the research centers.

In addition to alumni, the launch event was attended by Afeka’s senior management, including Chairman of the Board of Trustees major general (res.) Danny Rothschild; Chairman of the Executive Council Moshe Horev; President of Afeka College Prof. Yossi Rosenwaks; CEO of Afeka Shoshi Zonband-Tamari, CPA; Vice President for Academic Affairs Prof. Moshe Tshuva; and Vice President of Development and Strategic Partnerships Alon Barnea.

The event was initiated by Afeka’s Alumni Relations Unit, led by Dganit Citrin Bar-On.

Said Prof. Yossi Rosenwaks: “This forum was born of the wish to create broad impact, both for the entire Afeka community and its alumni and for academia, industry, and Israeli society as a whole. Our alumni’s engagement, commitment, and willingness to play an active part in Afeka’s work are a testament to the deep bond that exists, and provide the basis for the moves that will take us forward.”
