From the Editor's Desk

In this issue, we are proud to spotlight the outstanding achievements of three of our researchers, each making significant strides in their respective fields.

From the School of Industrial Engineering, Prof. Yuval Cohen presents a timely and thought-provoking study, "Generative AI-Based Platform for Deliberate Teaching Practice: A Review and a Suggested Framework," exploring how AI technologies can enhance educational methodologies through structured, reflective teaching practices. We had the pleasure of interviewing Prof. Cohen—our readers are invited to learn more about his career journey, inspirations, and vision for the future of education.

Representing the School of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Moran Aviv contributes to the field of biomedical engineering with her recent publication, "In vitro evaluation of a semi-autologous fibrin sealant for surgical applications." Her work offers promising insights into developing more effective, biocompatible materials for surgical use. In our interview with Dr. Aviv, she shared her research path, motivations, and aspirations—don’t miss this opportunity to get to know the researcher behind the science.

We are proud to celebrate the achievement of Dr. Yehudit Apershein from the School of Engineering, who recently secured a prestigious grant from the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, in collaboration with Barzilai Medical Center. Her research investigates the relationship between glycated hemoglobin levels, GLP-1-based drug treatments, and the incidence of common brain disorders, with the potential to shape public health policy and enhance preventive care strategies.

These accomplishments reflect the diversity, innovation, and societal relevance of the research conducted at Afeka. We congratulate our researchers and look forward to seeing the continued impact of their work.
