Hila Chalutz Ben-Gal is a Senior Lecturer at Afeka Tel Aviv College of Engineering at the Industrial Engineering and Management Department. Dr. Chalutz Ben-Gal’s research focuses on understanding how new technologies change work and organizations. She conducts in-depth studies to develop new understanding about these changes. She studies the changing nature of organizations in the digital era, with a focus on Human Resource Analytics, organizational design and the changing nature of work. Her work makes contributions to understanding challenges in organizational performance. Her most recent study presents a novel bi-level model that can serve as a decision support tool for firms to improve recruitment and compensation decisions associated with hybrid and flexible work plans. Additional projects include Human Resource Analytics, turnover forecasting, career moves detection in online labor markets and post-COVID-19 organizational transformation. Dr. Chalutz Ben-Gal has won awards for both research and teaching. She and collaborators won a Best Paper Award at the Academy of Management Conference in 2021.

I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management. In my research, I examine the impact of technologies on organizational, individual and social phenomena. I study the changing nature of organizations and employees in the digital era, with a focus on Human Resource Analytics, organizational design and the changing nature of work. I conduct field research and consulting in a variety of organizational settings. Current projects include Human Resource Analytics, turnover forecasting, career moves detection and forecasting in on-line labor markets and COVID-19 organizational implications.
