Student Population

With 1,900 students, Afeka College has a proven track record of providing the educational response needed to attract and maximize the technological potential of young people from non-affluent backgrounds.
Half the student population comes from inner city underprivileged neighborhoods or geographically remote peripheral areas.
One third of the student population were born and educated outside of Israel, mostly from countries of the former Soviet Union.
20% of the students are women.
The primary focus of the faculty and curriculum of the College is to give each student every advantage possible to open doors to promising careers in engineering. Individual attention, maintenance of a technologically rich educational environment and a caring approach to personal problems all contribute to the success of Afeka graduates
 
More than 85% of the 3000 young people who have graduated from Afeka are working as engineers in their field of study.
Israel’s leading companies in technology are employers of Afeka graduates including Amdocs, Sapiens, Elta, Motorola, Mabat, Israel Aircraft Industries, Comverse, SDS, Motorola and Texas Instruments.
20% of all graduates have applied and been accepted to graduate degree programs both in Israel and abroad.
