It is with a great deal of pleasure that I welcome you to our Internet site in English. We are hoping that your initial encounter with the Afeka College of Engineering will lead you to develop an ongoing relationship with us.
We are indeed a very young and unique institution of study, emphasizing what we believe is a major key to the economic development of Israel: technology. The Israel Council for Higher Education has authorized us to grant undergraduate degrees in five different fields of engineering and soon we will be adding to that list studies program towards M.Sc. in System Engineering. In all of our endeavors we focus on a drive toward excellence, a spirit of innovation and a commitment to making technological education available to all who have the talents and ambition to contribute to Israel’s development.
Our study programs have, in a very short period of time, developed a flexibility that allow our students to acquire expertise in a broad range of relevant specialties ranging from medical engineering to operations research. Our goal is to prepare the student not only academically, but also practically for a career in industry with skills that will give him/her the tools to respond to the rapidly changing high tech environment that we all experience in the modern world.
We have indelibly linked our study programs to existing industry. Our geographic location in the heart of Israel’s High Tech industries gives students the opportunity of applying the subjects they study to employment opportunities. Our students are constantly challenged to develop new ideas for industry that are commercially viable. All of our students are required to submit, before graduation, a project that solves an engineering problem or that creates a new device of technological value.
This formula has worked effectively for our graduates. They can be found working in the country’s top high tech industries.
