AFEKA College
The AFEKA Tel Aviv Academic College of Engineering was established in 1996 and is among the first academic colleges granting degrees in engineering to be accredited by the Israel Council for Higher education. Afeka is located in Tel Aviv, the hub of the Israeli High-tech industry.
Afeka offers the 2,300 students currently enrolled and potential applicants B.Sc. programs in: Electrical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Software Engineering; Industrial Engineering and Management and Medical Engineering. Recently, Afeka has also opened M.Sc. programs in Systems Engineering and Energy Engineering.
The Afeka Academic College of Engineering employs over 200 quality lecturers with both academic and practical experience. Faculty members include instructors with joint appointments in Israel's leading universities; academic professionals from various fields of research; and professional engineers from the industry.
AFEKA Centers for R&D and Industrial Cooperation (AC’s)
AFEKA R&D & Industrial cooperation Centers are formed to serve the needs of the scientific, industrial, and business communities in Israel and abroad. The AC’s are supported by the entire AFEKA infrastructure, including expert academic faculty, supporting engineering staff, and students as well as legal and operational infrastructure streamlining its ability to serve and cooperate with the industry.
Currently there are 5 AC’s for Language Processing (ACLP), Antenna Design (ACAD), Materials and Testing (ACMT), Medical Instrumentation (ACME), Energy and Heat Transfer (ACEHT).
AFEKA Entrepreneurship (AfEnt)
AFEKA Entrepreneurship (AfEnt) is an original and unique activity of AFEKA. It enables students and staff members to initiate or take part in invention and development of useful products and turn them into assets, as part of the studies experience and the final project.
AfEnt also enables inventors, companies and entrepreneurs to develop a prototype of their invention without investing any financial resources on their behalf, while maintaining a considerable percentage of ownership in the project.
After building POC (proof of concept) model and protecting the IP, AfEnt looks for a relevant partner for commercializing the project. AfEnt offers good projects, in diversified markets ready for breakthrough.
